Two Lenovo LOQ gaming laptops reach Bangladesh at Tk 2,17,000 and Tk 2,25,000 — and the cheaper one has the better GPU

Same processor, same memory, same screen. One carries an RTX 5060, the other an RTX 5050. Check which model number you are being quoted before you pay.

Two Lenovo LOQ gaming laptops reach Bangladesh at Tk 2,17,000 and Tk 2,25,000 — and the cheaper one has the better GPU

Global Brand PLC has brought two new Lenovo LOQ series gaming laptops to the Bangladeshi market, announced in a press release on Saturday.

The models are 83JE01HXLK and 83JE01HWLK. They are, on almost every specification, the same machine.

What both have

Both run a 14th-generation Intel Core i7-14700HX processor, which is what makes them usable for high-end gaming, fast video editing and running several heavy applications at once.

Both carry 16GB of DDR5 RAM and 512GB of storage. Both have a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display at 300 nits brightness with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Both include a 24-zone RGB backlit keyboard, Nahimic audio, a privacy shutter and a 5-megapixel e-shutter webcam. Connectivity on both is Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.1, USB-C, RJ45 LAN and an Ethernet port.

HX = 5060. HW = 5050.

The one difference, and the thing to check

The graphics card is the only meaningful distinction.

83JE01HXLK has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB of GDDR7 memory. Price: Tk 2,17,000.

83JE01HWLK has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050, also with 8GB of GDDR7. Price: Tk 2,25,000.

Read those two lines again. As the prices were announced, the model with the lower graphics card costs Tk 8,000 more.

We are reporting the figures as released rather than guessing at the explanation. It may be a stock or import-cost difference, or a transposition in the announcement. Either way the practical advice is the same, and it is the reason this detail is worth a paragraph rather than a footnote: buy by model number, not by price. The two codes differ by one letter in the eleventh character — HX against HW — which is exactly the kind of difference that survives a shop conversation and a delivery slip without anybody noticing.

Before paying, confirm the full model code on the carton, and confirm that the GPU reported in Windows matches what you were quoted. For a machine at this price the gap between an RTX 5060 and an RTX 5050 is the main thing you are paying for.

Three numbers worth reading twice

300 nits. That is the panel’s brightness, and it is modest. Indoors with the curtains drawn it is fine; in a bright room, or anywhere near a window in daylight, a 300-nit screen washes out. If you work on a laptop in daylight rather than only gaming in the evening, this is the specification most likely to annoy you daily.

144Hz. A high refresh rate only pays off when the graphics card can actually produce that many frames. At 1080p an RTX 5060 will reach it in competitive titles and fall well short in demanding ones at high settings. The panel is not the limit here; the GPU is — which is the second reason the model number matters more than the sticker price.

Wi-Fi 6. Not 6E and not Wi-Fi 7. On a machine bought in late 2026 and expected to last four or five years, that is the component that will date first. It is a reasonable omission at this price, but worth knowing before you compare against something advertising a newer radio.

Where this sits in the market

At a little over two lakh taka, these are not entry-level machines, and the specification tells you who they are aimed at: the 144Hz panel and the discrete GPU are for gaming, but the i7-14700HX with 16GB of RAM is equally a video-editing and development configuration. In Bangladesh that dual use is usually the actual purchase reason, because one machine has to do the paid work and the playing.

The 512GB drive is the constraint worth planning around. A current game installation can take 100GB or more, and a few of them alongside an operating system and a project folder will fill the disk quickly. Check whether the second M.2 slot is free before you buy, because adding storage later is far cheaper than replacing the laptop.
