Anyone who went looking for the HSC re-scrutiny website on Saturday evening found a holding page. The title reads সিস্টেম রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ — system maintenance — above a single line saying applications for re-scrutiny and re-evaluation of the 2026 HSC and equivalent results will be accepted from 1 November 2026.
That is the system behaving correctly. The window has not opened yet. There is nothing to refresh and nothing to fix at your end.
It does mean the whole process is compressed into seven days, from Sunday to 7 November, and the parts that take thought are the parts you can do now.
Four things to settle before Sunday
Your roll and registration numbers. Both are needed, and they are not the same number. The registration number is the one issued when you registered for the course, not the one printed on the admit card as your seat. Find the document now rather than at the payment screen.
Your board. Selected from a dropdown. Straightforward, except for candidates of the madrasah and technical boards, who should check their own board’s notice — the Dhaka board’s rules were issued for Dhaka.

A mobile number you are going to keep. This is the one that matters more than it looks. The number you type in is where the re-scrutiny result will be sent by SMS, and the board has not published a date for when that will happen. A number borrowed from a friend, or a SIM you are about to stop using, is a number you may not be holding when the result arrives. Use your own, and keep it active.
Which papers, decided in advance. Not which subjects — which papers. The fee is charged per paper at Tk 150, and a subject with two papers requires an application for each. Work out the list and the total before you reach a payment screen, because after payment the selection is fixed and the money is gone.
What the seven days are actually for
The deadline sounds tighter than it is. The application itself takes a few minutes; what takes time is the decision, and nothing about the decision requires the portal to be open. The marks are already in front of you on your result sheet.
There is one reason not to leave it to the last day. Payment runs through bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay and Sonali Seba, and an application is not submitted until you return to the portal and press জমা দিন after paying. A failed payment on the evening of 7 November leaves no time to try again.
If you intend to apply for more subjects than you can afford at once, the board does allow a second application later through the same process, without re-entering the mobile number — but it has to land inside the same seven days.
Work from the marksheet, not from memory
The decision needs the subject-wise marks in front of you, not a recollection of how the exams felt. The portal will show your subject-wise result once it opens, but you do not have to wait for that — the same breakdown is on the result you already have.
Institutions can also pull a full sheet for their own candidates using their EIIN, which is the route to take if your own copy is unclear or you cannot get the online result to load. Ask the college office on Sunday morning rather than spending the first day of the window troubleshooting a website.
Then write the list down: subject, paper, the mark, and the specific reason you think it is wrong. If you cannot complete that last column for a paper, that is useful information about whether to pay for it.
